The Connected Worker Innovation Forum: the international event that gathered industry leaders and specialists to discuss the future of the industry in Portugal and the World
Glartek hosted The Connected Worker Innovation Forum a unique event with a focus on innovation in the industry. The event included presentations of successful technology implementation cases, round tables with specialists in research and development, and an interactive showroom featuring AR, AI, and IoT solutions.
Lisbon, Portugal – 9th of June, 2023 – Glartek announced today that an international conference on innovation in the industry, The Connected Worker Innovation Forum, was held on June 1, at NERLEI in Leiria. This event took place over a day and was attended by more than 70 guests and representatives of different national and international organizations, including attendees joining from Spain, France, and Italy.
The forum featured more than 15 speakers, including Valorsul, Mitsubishi Fuso, REN, and Brisa, among others. The speakers talked about the implementation of technology in its operational processes. The event also featured round tables that brought together researchers, industrial directors, and consultants in the area of digital transformation.
It was also possible to interact with some of the fastest-developing and most advanced technologies in the industry. This includes artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), and the Internet of Things (IoT), among others.
Some of the main event partners included GE Digital, Atos, NOS, Kaizen Institute, Mitsubishi Daimler, ValorSul, REN, CME, Finerge, Proef, Fraunhofer, INESC TEC, INEGI, and Simoldes. The topics of the discussion touched upon the impact of connected work technologies on the training and autonomy of workers. Moreover, speakers discussed the importance of connected technology to make industrial roles more attractive and safe. It was also possible to examine different strategies to adhere to the new digital reality in the industry. Lastly, speakers also underlined the importance of innovating and optimizing operations to reduce costs and increase productivity.
In addition, Glartek also had the opportunity to present its most recent projects and functionalities. In the demonstration room, it was possible to see integrated systems in operation, notably with the well-known MES solution from GE Digital, and different technologies developed together with strategic partners.
The event promoted new partnerships between different organizations that had the opportunity to share their most recent achievements.
