Lactalis faced challenges in improving safety and efficiency in their LOTO and LOTOTO processes. Paper documentation caused delays, inconsistent workflows, and high risks of human error. Managing multiple energy isolation points lacked real-time visibility, making compliance harder to maintain. These inefficiencies delayed maintenance schedules, compromised safety, and increased non-compliance risks, emphasising the need for a standardised solution.
Solution
Glartek digitized Lactalis’ LOTO and LOTOTO processes across three cheese production lines in Chile, reducing errors and streamlining workflows. The platform also provided compliance tracking and automated reporting for enhanced traceability, and a centralized management system for better visibility and control.

The scanning process, which will be much faster with NFC, will be super-fast: scanning, typing, and finalising—super, super fast, super fluid. The idea is to be able to move forward with the rest of the line and have this implemented at the Talagante plant as a start. The idea is for other plants to have this LOTOTO system.
