Glartek and E-Redes partner to digitize critical safety tasks with innovative Augmented Reality capabilities

E-REDES rolls out Glartek’s Augmented and Connected Worker solution, with Augmented Reality Guided Tasks and Visual Remote Assistance, to increase efficiency and assurance of tasks performed by field workers

3rd March 2022, Lisbon, Portugal – Glartek, a leader in innovative Augmented Reality (AR) solutions for field services, the asset-intensive, and the manufacturing industries, partnered with E-REDES to optimize its field services’ activities.

E-REDES is Portugal’s electricity distribution system operator, connecting power suppliers to their customers. The mission of E-REDES is to guarantee the supply of electricity to all consumers, with quality, safety, and efficiency. With more than three thousand employees, the company manages a distribution network of nearly 250,000 km for six million customers.

With three thousand frontline employees and tens of different tasks performed by those employees, E-REDES wanted to streamline the management and execution of those tasks. E-REDES selected Glartek’s Augmented and Connected Worker solution to manage and digitize field tasks, such as safety inspections and selected Glartek’s Visual Remote Assistance solution to support remotely field technicians. With Glartek solutions, E-REDES reduced administrative work, reduced the number of required technicians, and reduced site visits, while at the same time improving the overall quality of the operation.
