Sonae Indústria faced the challenge of managing a manufacturing unit located 500 km away from their headquarters with a small team of operators. The company aimed to introduce a solution to help manage the plant remotely and without on-site management. To address this, Sonae Indústria turned to Glartek’s advanced solution and, before deploying the solution directly, decided to test it in their factory in Matosinhos, Oporto.

By digitalizing paper-based instructions, Glartek transformed Sonae operations into structured digital workflows, including daily preventive maintenance, LOTO procedures, PPE verifications and 5S audits.

The platform’s skill matrix aligns tasks with operator competencies, optimizing workforce management. Interactive digital training tools provided operators with essential knowledge and skills, significantly reducing training time and improving safety and adaptability. As a result, Sonae Indústria achieved three times faster onboarding of new employees, enhancing overall efficiency and preparedness.
