Glartek achieves continued growth in 2023

In 2023, Glartek expanded its operations by attracting new clients, entering new international markets, featuring in a renowned report, taking part in multiple R&D projects with leading organizations, hosting its first in-person event, expanding its team, and revolutionizing the connected market once again.

Lisbon, Portugal – April 24, 2024 – Glartek, a leading provider of innovative Connected Worker solutions powered by AR for the manufacturing and asset-intensive industries, has today announced its 2023 results which record a continuation of the previous year’s growth.

Glartek has expanded its operations, continuing to grow and being profitable. The company maintained its attractiveness for industrial leaders, and it welcomed new powerhouse clients, including Secil, HORSE, Sonae, the Portuguese Navy, E-REDES, Apave, and Veolia, among others. Simultaneously, Glartek also established new partnerships with key players in different countries and market segments. such as Cognizant and Aquarius Brazil. The Portuguese-based company also became the first connected worker software provider to feature its solution on Microsoft Azure (5G MEC), Microsoft’s leading cloud computing platform. These partnerships have allowed Glartek to expand to new countries, as is the case with Brazil where Glartek introduced its solution over the past year.

This positive evolution was equally noted and underlined by different manufacturing analysts and the inclusion in industry reports, such as Frost & Sullivan, LNS, and PAC Radar, where Glartek was featured.

As a result of the work developed with the clients and partners mentioned above, Glartek’s operations increasingly focused on key connected worker use cases, including digital work instructions, LOTO, quality inspections, and visual remote assistance. In essence, this marked an overall specialization on security-related use cases.

Glartek also had the opportunity to finish multiple innovative R&D projects that explored the possibilities of leading technologies including artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision and their interception with connected worker functionalities to transform frontline operations. Such projects along with the needs arising needs in the market have also led Glartek to develop and release Glartek 2.0, a major update of the Augmented & Connected Worker platform. This release introduced new use cases (team and skills management, training, and analytics), cutting-edge technology (AI, ML, 3D modeling), improvements in real-time collaboration and connectivity, software rollout, and a new user experience.

Glartek’s expansion was also highlighted by its presence in some of the biggest and most important events in the manufacturing industry (Hannover Messe), the telecom sector (MWC Barcelona and Total Telcom), and the broader technological sector (LEAP 2023 and Asset Performance 2023). 2023 also marked the first in-person event hosted by Glartek, the Connected Worker Innovation forum, which gathered about 100 clients, partners, and key stakeholders in the industry to discuss digital transformation and connected worker technologies and showcase Glartek’s latest innovations.

All this work was only made possible by the expansion of the Glartek team, which saw a 15% increase in the number of employees.

“2023 was a crucial year for Glartek, we were able to consolidate our growth and profitability by attracting new clients and continuing to provide high-quality solutions. In addition, we were able to expand our platform and become competitive within our market. That expansion was achieved through a comprehensive study of the needs of organizations, the introduction of new technologies, and a willingness to help improve productivity and safety on shop floors while providing managers and directors with more and better information. We will continue our path to delivering a new reality in the industry and help businesses achieve continuous improvement”
