Glartek’s Augmented & Connected Worker platform secures one more award for its innovative capabilities

April 20th, 2022, Lisbon, Portugal – Glartek, a leader in innovative Augmented Reality (AR) solutions for field services, the asset-intensive and manufacturing industries, is, once again, at the spotlight, with one more award received for its unique Augmented & Connected Worker platform. The award provided by EIT Manufacturing was attributed to Glartek’s distinctive solution which addresses use cases from three domains: training, production, and safety operations.

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) builds an industrial eco-system that brings together industrial partners, academic and research institutions, and innovative startups, scaleups, and SMEs. The EIT Manufacturing contest aimed to enable the New European Bauhaus transformation. The event was dedicated to innovative startups with green and socially sustainable manufacturing solutions that would like to accelerate their company’s growth, which perfectly fitted Glartek’s growth goals.

With more than a thousand applications, only twenty of the most promising and innovative startups, that truly solved manufacturing issues, were selected by the EIT Community Booster, receiving business growth and support services.

Glartek’s Augmented & Connected Worker platform is a digital platform that allows manufacturing companies to digitize their processes, or integrate with any existing platform, and, adds 2D and Augmented Reality (AR) support guidance for front-line workers’ daily activities. The solution boosts the efficiency and safety of operational tasks and training. By equipping frontline workers with augmented reality, on any device (mobile, tablets, Smart Glasses, or Microsoft HoloLens 2) Glartek increases the knowledge and skills of the frontline team, making it possible for any worker, to execute any process without help or training.

The benefits of these solutions are visible in less than 6 months, and include, operational excellence, reduced downtime, reduced number of front-line workers, and reduced costs and waste while also increasing the safety of workers.

“Being one of the selected companies for the contest is very rewarding since it truly shows up the potential of such innovative solutions. The manufacturing industry still has a lot to growth when it comes to its digital transformation, so being part of this ecosystem alongside tier-one companies is very good for our learning and evolution.” Bruno Duarte, CEO at Glartek
